General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

Contract status

These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between you and the Bären – Das Gästehaus. The reservation or order confirmation, which will be sent to you via email or mail, serves as the legal basis. Unless you object within 24 hours of receiving this confirmation, these General Terms and Conditions are deemed to be tacitly accepted.

 

Options

Option dates are binding for both parties. Guesthouse Bären can automatically dispose of the reserved rooms after the option period has expired, unless the customer has sent a written order confirmation. This confirmation must be received by us by the last day of the option period.

 

Cancellation conditions

We ask that you notify us of any significant changes to your reservation as early as possible and in writing. If the reservation is canceled in whole or in part through no fault of our own, the following cancellation fees will apply:

• Cancellation of your reservation is possible free of charge up to 14 days before your arrival

• 13 to 3 days before your arrival: 50% of the total amount

• 3 to 0 days before your arrival: 100% of the total amount

 

These cancellation conditions also apply in the event of illness of the guest or a close relative. We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance for longer stays.

 

Tourist tax and VAT

The tourist tax and VAT are included in all prices.

 

Damage

The customer is liable to Bären – Das Gästehaus for any damage or loss caused by him or her or by guests designated by him, third parties or pets brought along.

 

Applicable law, place of jurisdiction

The legal relationship between you and Bären – Das Gästehaus is governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Herisau.
