General Terms and Conditions
Contract status
These General Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between you and ‘Bären – Das Gästehaus’. The reservation or order confirmation, which you will receive by email or post, serves as the legal basis. Without your objection within 24 hours of receiving this confirmation, the terms and conditions are accepted without further notice.
Optional booking
The optional dates are binding for both parties. As soon as the optional booking period expires, ‘Bären – Das Gästehaus’ can automatically make use of the reserved rooms, if the customer has not sent a written order confirmation. Confirmation of booking must reach us by the last day of the option period.
Cancellation of reservations
We would ask that you inform us of any significant changes to your reservation as quickly as possible, in writing. Should the reservation be cancelled completely solely on the part of the customer, the following cancellation charges shall apply:

Your reservation may be cancelled at no charge up to 10 days before your arrival

Cancellations from 9 to 4 days before your arrival: 50% of the entire amount will be charged

Cancellations from 3 to 0 days before your arrival: 100% of the entire amount will be charged
These cancellation conditions also apply in the event of illness of the guest or related parties. Therefore we recommend to sign a travel cancellation insurance.
Visitors’ tax and VAT
The visitors’ tax and VAT are included in all prices.
Damages
The customer is liable to ‘Bären – Das Gästehaus’ for all damages and losses incurred as a result of actions by the customer, by other individuals named as guests, by his pets or by third parties.
Applicable law, place of jurisdiction
Swiss law applies to the legal relationship between you and ‘Bären – Das Gästehaus. The designated place of jurisdiction is Herisau.
